As the title says, Firefox now comes with a 64 bit version.
For those who are interested.... here's more, plus links to the downloads.
Happy sailing and don't fergit yer Sou'westers.
So, I take it from the overwhelming response that nobody's interested in a 64 bit browser than can transport you to anywhere in the internet to see anything you like?
Because it wasn't official and still the version is beta...............................
Now with new and improved 64bit....2 flavours means there's twice the opportunities to break Windowblinds as before.
Colour me thrilled....
Okay, consider yourself coloured a few shades of thrilled...
Yup, found piccy of yer in another post and defaced it in MS Paint with various texta colours
I must say, and nothing personal BTW, you do sorta look orright with a rouge lipstick and massacre... er, mascara.
Seriously now.
As for breaking WB, dunno wot you mean? Never had a problem wiv it.
9 out of 10 men who have tried Camels prefer women....
...er..
9 out of 10 posts here relating to Windowblinds not skinning a proggy properly refer to Firefox...
Went to Mozilla.org, and all I found was their latest x486 (x32). I think what you're seeing at MajorGeeks are alphas and betas, Mark...
32 bit has plenty of errors..with 64 bit what do we expect? None of their customized skin works in WB lol
think 64 bit are supposed to be out (as stable)_ in the next 1 or 2 version. couple of months or so then... if you count nightly and what not, it's been out for years
I've been using WaterFox for some time now -- 64-bit version of Firefox, and unlike the FireFox release, WaterFox is not beta.
There's also something called CyberFox, which is another 64-bit version of Firefox -- and they just came out with a v37 beta.
The point is this thread of title is misleading. There is no "official" 64 bit of Firefox.
double..........
what mark phelps said use waterfox
There's a work around for getting firefox to skin correctly including waterfox it requires the addon classic theme restorer & replacing ff or wf "CTRpreferences.txt" file with a custom version i can confirm it works including changing skins

Nope... not misleading at all. Following the link takes you to wher A copy of FF x64 can be obtained.
Nowhere in the OP does it say whether its a beta or full version... just that it's available.
As for using Waterfox or Cyberfox x64 versions, well there's nothing wrong with that, since both have stable versions and have been around for years. The only reason I posted this was to inform those FF users who may look to switch over [now or when a stable version is released]
It' an irresponsible link without proper informations as majority of users are not well enough to solve/tackle unwanted occurrences, such as pop-out ads, corrupted files, etc.,
Okay, have it your way, Gaspers. However, I doubt that Mozilla would include unwanted extras, such as popups and toolbars, etc. Like I said, I just wanted to point it out for those who might be interested. Once there, as the end of the link, the person needs to decide if they want it -whether it's safe or not - and like ALL software these days, the person installing it needs to be vigilant in order to avoid unwanted extras, etc. I mean, we can't hold everybodys hand while they select and/or install software, can we?
Ya know, I could never make up my mind about your nick... whethers its Gasper shooters ... OR Gaspers Hooters.
