Someplace to stash my stuff
creating a feature in IOS and not letting users access it
Published on October 24, 2016 By starkers In Personal Computing

Yup, you read it right, Apple created a one-handed pop out keyboard for both left and right handed users, yet it is locked away because Apple does not want people using it.

Like I said, how stupid is that?

You can read more about it here.

The only way an IOS user can access this feature is to jailbreak their phone, thus voiding the warranty and possibly messing up the phone entirely.

Perhaps a 3rd-party developer will come up with one.... IF Apple allows it to appear in the Store.

Anyway, it's another ridiculous thing tech developers do and I thought I'd share.  Anyone else got a ridiculous tech story to share?

Oh, and before anyone says Windows 10 was/is a ridiculous idea, that one has been done to death, orright!!!!!

So please, let's come up with something other than Windows 10.

And no, I'm not defending it or MS, just asking for something different.

My favorite is still the guy you talked about that drilled a hole in his phone to stick headphones in it.  That's just so classic

Set to the theme song of "Gilligan's Island":

"Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,

a tale of a clueless twit,

who took a drill to his new i-phone,

right through to the chip."

You know Dave, if you drill a hole in the top and screw in a retractable antenna in you get better reception

Yeah, that sure is a classic alright.... and don't you think it funny that both 'ridiculous' stories involve Apple?

It's funny, really, how 99% of 'ridiculous' tech stories were about Apple stuff.... then MS came up with Windows 10.

Oops!!!  I just did what I asked others not to.

Oh well, I suppose it's fair game after all.

Yeah, and if you drill a hole at the bottom and insert a mixing blade with the right ingredients it'll bake you a chocolate cake as well.

Um, hopefully there aren't any Apple users here reading this.... I might get abused cos the cake didn't turn out right.
