Okay people, so I get a newsletter from an online shopping establishment I've done business with in the past, and this just grabbed my immediate attention... a pen device that turns your regular Windows 8 notebook into a 'Touch' screen device. All you do is connect the USB transmitter/receiver and the pen works wirelessly. Bloody brilliant!!! For more info, check it out here and here and here
Hmmm, I'm thinking I'd like one of these. For 99 bucks, normally $149.00, it'd have to be the most affordable way to get 'Touch' on a PC near you. Dunno about anybody else, but I wouldn't mind it on one near me... and I do have a spare rig with a 17" monitor.... and a retail copy of Win 8 I picked up for Officeworks for 44 bucks that I can put on it. Yup, it's definitely suck up to the missus time, and some sweet talk to get her into the "let me buy something" mood.
It states that it s for a 17" laptop/notebook - and that's 17" maximum - I can't see why it wouldn't work with a desktop PC, providing the screen wasn't over the stipulated size. It would be no good for my main rig at 32", but my spare upstairs is no slouch, either: AMD FX8170; 8Gb DDR3 RAM; Samsung 120Gb 840 Series SSD and a Nvidia 9800GTX.... unless I swipe back my old GTX260 from Shaunna's rig. Nah, I wouldn't do that, the 9800 will be good enough.
Anyhow, people, what d'yer reckon?
