Well, XP might just be on its last legs after all... according to this PC User article. http://blogs.pcworld.com/techlog/archives/006751.html

It seems sales of XP will cease as of June 08, except for very low end laptops, etc.... and while it may not be too popular with many, it would seem MS resources are to be focussed on the future/new technology, rather than old OSes it deems to have passed their use by date.

Well when the acting CEO publicly backs a statement made you generally think... ok, maybe it will be happening.

That's what he said, that XP OEM production and distribution to MFG's will cease as of June 08.

But as you go on to say, Newegg and other retailers/distributors will continue to sell them until stocks run out.... as for when that happens, well I suppose is comes down to how many are still out there in the wild.

What if customer demand brings back XP sales?

I don't think it'll matter. If anyone really wants XP then now is your time to purchase that extra copy.

Oh it will matter. MS wants to make money. If XP is in that much of a demand they will bring it back.

I doubt it.

Bebi Bulma should get another copy for the machine in pieces in the closet waiting to be built

Time will tell. On the other hand why am I defending XP when I use Vista?

Because you're you and you like to argue about anything.

Not really. I just get caught up in debates too much. Right now I am to tired to argue!!

Good.... MS will do away with XP in June. And in 2010, Vista gets the chop for Windows Seven.... which will be replaced/made obsolete in 2010 1/2 by Windux OSX 12 when Bill buys Mac out from under Jobsy's feet.
