Funny you say that....I was tempted.

Hmmph, it was bad enough that you put a notice in our local paper that you'd no longer accept responsibility for my absent mindedness, but to join up here so you can tell everyone that I'm losing my marbles is taking it a bit far, me thinks...or do I!!!!

Typos. eh! Just as well I wasn't typing with two fingers, could've been alot worse.

I've been comfortable in places where even Lucifer was afeared to walk, so yeah, it's downloaded and I'll give it a run to see what's what with it. Being that XP Pro is my primary OS, and I have XP Home as a secondary OS for gaming, it won't matter if it has a few bugs or isn't as stable as RC1, which runs great for me and can always reverted back to if this update becomes a hassle.

Running 5728 right now and it seems to load quicker, with better driver support than previous releases. More 3rd party apps installing first time around...rather than Vista asking to try installing again using recommended settings. It's running quite smoothly and seems to be using less RAM than previous releases, so yeah, I'm happy with this update. A couple of my apps still aren't installing properly (Cyberlink DVD Solution and Nero), but I'm sure that's just temporary and I can switch back to XP if I need either of those.

So far so good.

Said it once and I'll say it again - I'm sticking to XP.

Not to worry Kona, you'll not be alone...if MS doesn't lower the recently reported price range on Vista editions, there'll be millions Worldwide joining you.

Personally, I'll be sticking with XP as my primary OS on a dual boot machine until Vista has been thoroughly put through its paces by the industry in general and proven to be stable/reliable, etc. However, I like what I've seen so far and believe it will become a great OS with the tweaks it still obviously needs to work more seamlessly with 3rd party apps and etc..
